🛕 About Omkareshwar
Omkareshwar is the Jyotirlinga on the Narmada — and, unusually for our coverage, the best-documented: the Ahilyabai Khasgi Trust’s own site (shriomkareshwar.org) publishes the full daily timetable, fetched directly for this page. The darshan is a pair — Omkareshwar on the island and Mamleshwar (Amreshwar) on the southern bank, both counted as the Jyotirlinga. Checked 02 October 2026.

The Omkareshwar structure
The temple sits on the Mandhata island in the Narmada; Mamleshwar faces it from the southern bank; the 7-km parikrama rings the Omkar Parvat past the Siddhanath Baradari, Gauri Somnath and the Adi Shankaracharya statue at Ekatm Dham (all trust-described). The floating-solar project on the dam (reported, 120 MWp commissioned 2025) is the modern counterpoint. Note: the popular “Om-shaped island” claim didn’t appear on the trust’s pages we fetched — a tradition-level description we leave unadjudicated.
