Braj reaches three ways: rail into Mathura Junction (MTJ) — the region’s major hub, 12–16 km from Vrindavan’s temples (reported); road from Delhi, about 125–150 km and 3–4 hours via the Yamuna Expressway corridor; or air into Agra (AGR, ~54–75 km, limited flights) with Delhi (DEL) as the practical fly-in.
Inside Vrindavan, the e-rickshaw is the transport system — the lanes don’t do anything larger. Checked 02 October 2026.

The last mile
Vrindavan’s temple lanes are foot-and-e-rickshaw territory: outer gates, then walk. For Banke Bihari, target the outer gate nearest your direction and accept a lane walk. Luggage: pack for a lane walk (the stays guide’s logic).
