Most Ayodhya packing lists are generic. This one starts from the things that are actually on record: phones, bags and leather items don’t go inside the temple (reported), the physical ID copy is mandatory for pass entry, and the weather swings from January cool to 42 °C-plus in early summer.

Everything below was checked 01 October 2026; where locker arrangements couldn’t be confirmed, the list works around that honestly.

Small things that matter

  • A printed aarti-pass receipt — your phone may be in a deposit locker when entry is checked.
  • Paper slip with the trust helpdesk numbers (05278-292000, +91-80095-22111, toll-free 1860-180-1992 — official) — again, the no-phone problem.
  • A light cloth bag that surrender items can go into at the stay or entry point; locker fees circulated in guides as both free and ~₹150 — unresolved, so carry a bag that makes the question moot.
  • Elders: medications in original packaging, and a folding stool for long queues (our senior guide covers the wheelchair question).

Frequently asked questions

Can I carry my phone inside Ram Mandir?

No — phones, bags and leather items are prohibited (reported). Arrange a deposit; locker specifics are not officially published.

What clothes should I pack for Ayodhya?

Modest temple wear plus season layers: warm for Nov–Jan, heat kit for May–Jun, rain kit for the monsoon (climatological averages).

Do I need to print the aarti pass?

The ID copy must be physical; printing the pass receipt too is cheap insurance in a no-phone entry line.
